It seems the newer cleaners over the last 10 years won't do it, every customer ask will you?

Because my lame husband is busted!

They say I am carpet cleaner not a furniture mover!

Or my insurance won't let me!

Sounds like B's to me.

Just say I'm soft like ice cream and melt at the sight of work.

Do guys still carry blocks and tabs????

We do and we’ll move furniture if they ask, but it’s an up charge. Brady still does it the old fashioned way … his body will rebel soon. I carry a lift buddy and furniture jacks along with plenty of sliders.

Basic furniture moving is part of the job. Nothing more embarrassing than saying you can't move a sofa but then the lady pushes it out of the way for you. No, we don't move book cases, China cabinets, most beds or anything too heavy for one person. Dining room chairs, sofas, coffee tables, etc are fair game. There is a reason why carpet cleaning distributors sell blocks and tabs.

I try not to, but usually end up doing it anyway. I buy sliders at Harbor Freight and leave them with my repeat customers. A lot of the time they are still there when I come to clean again.
