How to remove dried candle wax from carpet

Is there anything I can put on this dried wax to liquefy it without damaging the carpet?

Hair dryer will melt it and you can absorb it into craft paper or a terry towel. Just watch the carpet so you don't scorch it. Scrape up any remaining and touch up with a solvent spotter.

I use craft paper and an old iron set on medium. Works good. Try to scrape up as much of the wax before you put heat to it.

It depends.
The heat and paper works well on white candle wax. It will, however, set the dye of a colored wax.
In that case, some solvents will help release the hold of the wax onto the fibers. Combine with gentle agitation, cold water rinses and patience, and it will do the job. The left over grease from the wax can be removed with OMS.

I tried the hair dryer with some success, then I decided to pour boiling water on it and then suck it up with my carpet cleaner...that seemed to work pretty well...it did leave a slight stain that I can't seem to get out...all of the wax is out though...thanks for the help!

We always use dry.
Also a hot enough Truck mount will usually get most of it my old Steamway would my Prochem meh!

a damp terry cloth has more "pulling " power than a dry one.....
as the moisture is pulled out by the medium hot iron the wax will be pulled (absorbed) better as well.....
i worry 'bout some of yous kids sometimes!
the kraft paper trick is crazi ..there hardly ANY absorption in thin azzed paper!
