Did someone piss in your Chereeos? My point in this post is that there are consequences for bad policing of the testing process and thank god for people like Jeff Bishop stepping up and helping to make it right.....
People spend a shit ton of $ going to classes and to take the test. This kind of shit in unacceptable.....
Sadly, all you see is a chance to attack someone....
Sadly. all I see is someone whining like a spoiled child. And I see someone who treats their employees like a pair of disposible gloves. That kind of shit is unacceptable.

I see somebody who has had it out for Greg for years......but putting that aside

Almost anywhere I have ever worked test were required for continued employment/promotion. In some cases very extensive (wonderlic, mmpi, psych eval, sc,etc).......

Most relevant to this though was the last water damage company I worked for.......who themselves were required to maintain certification to participate in vendor programs

Edit: I honestly can't recall who paid for the test. I do k ow that given the money I was making the cost was nothing to me....

My personal opinion...if you aren't 90+ on wrt you're a fn windowlicker who has no biz being responsible for an affected structure or its occupants health...

you can be a helper....at least until there are enough potential techs in the queue

And imagine promoting someone into management without their being certified.......
On a side note: We gave him a bonus yesterday that is almost double of what he would have made in the compensation increase from the promotion and he is totally fine. This morning he is receiving a promotion that actually pays more than the one he was going for originally. In addition to having to hit his goals and budget; He will have 3 months to take and pass the ASD class ( on my dime) to keep that position.

Sadly too many carpet cleaners don't understand the complexities of water damage and the education ( not just OTJ training) that is required. It is a special breed of person. We compensate them extremely well as a result.
I too thought the IICRC classes were a joke- especially the CCT. The more advanced classes are actually pretty good. The carpet repair was by far my favorite.....
