dont take this out of context because it is just a question and comment..
as inexpensive as cards are why would you give up the quality by dont it at home..they look good but nothing beats a professional.
you have a v to say quality, why not carry that all the way through?

Agree w/ Dave. Biz cards are so cheap and usually super discounted just to get you in the print shops door. I can always tell the homemade ones and first thing I think is does this guy skimp in all areas of his business.
Also I don't care for the carpet picture. Carpet is old and the border makes it look faded around the edge. I'm sure you worked miracles on it but without a before shot it doesn't work for me. Too bad you don't have a picture of it partially cleaned. Kind of a before/after in one shot.
Did you see Scott Rogers pictures recently? Made me want to call him to clean my carpets.

I don't want to "pile on here" Steve but I'm with Brian and Dave.

1. Blown up on the screen your ideas look great. My guess when it gets down to card size the photos and info are going to look cramped and possibly illegible.

2. Homemade cards always look ... homemade. Sorry. Even the most expensive cards out there literally cost just a few pennies for each one that you had out. I would suggest saving money elsewhere.

3. Take the good work you have already done to a good imaginative graphic artist and you will be amazed at what they come up with. I would start by asking him or her to brainstorm with you on a company logo. This is an investment that will be returned many times over. You are going to invest a lot of money in marketing over the years. You want a logo that is memorable, distinctive and supports your chosen image.

I think I have a good eye for graphics and form. So I always "rough out" the SFS quarterly newsletter. But then I turn it over to the Jon-Don art department and they always make it look a whole lot better. Nothing beats dealing with a professional.

Remember that there are a ton of graphic artists working out of their homes and their pricing is very reasonable. We want homeowners to call professionals to clean their carpets ...

My two cents,

PS Dave, don't you have a SFS Things-To-Do list AND an Action Plan to implement From last week in Tampa Bay? Quit hanging around here and get to work!

I like the idea of taking it to someone. Some good ideas in the card for sure. At the very least if you keep this one I would not print it myself. With all that color ink it would be cheaper to have it printed in a shop.

I like that idea, but i agree at least have a printer print it for you. And I would probably use a different carpet pic, but maybe that one just isnt showing up well in the post.

Steve Nitroprint.com will print you out 5000 cards full color front and back for $99 and they are done in two days. Locally picked up by CRS.

Seems like I seen that slogan some where before. :) Insist on the big truck.

IMO.... pics don't come across well on business cards.

Go for real 4 - color offset printing

I my early business cards where crammed on the back with stuff until i realized people like the use the back to take notes

use the same font on the V that's for "drew & Steve "

the graphic of the guy cleaning with a wand is your logo it should be on your card and not just in a pic.

Steve, if you want to send me your pic & graphics I'll do a couple cars up or if you want to go with this I'll set it up for a commercial printer in PDF file
