So I was playing with you guys and bid on the Rotovac 1/2 hp XL at $1800.00 I was certain it would go over that as I thought the price of a regular XL was 2895.00.

Well I ended up winning the auction.

Knowing that the check goes to a great cause and for donations I get about a 40% tax credit I sent Mikey the check. I bid, I'm not backing down.

I called Rotovac and gave them my name and told them I wanted the Brush Head---I follow the latest Trends on Mikey's----.

My check did not clear for a while. I thought they were waiting for my check to clear so I put it off.

Mikey finally got my check to the Ronald MC house and it cleared. So I called Rotovac and they were over the top appologetic. I said no problem I was waiting for the check to clear. They said oh no it should have gone out a long time ago.

So they sent me a new one .75 HP with both the Swoop head and the Brush head. I think the invoice is $3495.00.

Thanks a ton Rotovac and Mikeys board.

The really sad part of this is I do about 3 to 6 rentals a year (my rentals don't turn over very much). I need this new XL about as bad as I need another bicycle (I have 12 at last count).

Yes the most copied tool in carpet cleaning is the Rotary extractor. Patented by Cliff of Rotovac.

Yet they get pounded for copying someone else's tool....
So you think they should know what it feels like. I will stand by Rotovac rotary tools as they are legendary, I will curse the management till Hell freezes over for copying the Zipper. I give credit where credit is due and I will rip you a new one if you're an asshole.

Without stealing @Desk Jockey 's thunder.

First Up... Chavez, you are one cool motherf*cker... Respect.

I also think Rotovac's sponsorship is a class act. I bid on a 360i a while back. Nick is great to deal with.

Often times cleaners rightly sight Mytee as a company that is good to customers, supportive etc. I have seen too how good Rotovac is at shipping out a free spare for a machine i bought used in another country.

They recently brought Bonzer to Australia for the same price as American consumers pay retail delivered to our door. I expressed interest in some pre-spray and they sent that out too.

Just terrific. Makes me relived I have a significant investment in Rotovac. Good tools.

I recently bought both The XL and the 360i as demo units. Good deal and excellent for movie theater account.
Jets kept clogging like a pain in a the rear so I added a strainer right after the male quick connect. Problem solved. Some idiot to the highest degree called Joe ButStool over at Dishonest Cleaners said it was a defect from Rotovac since it was a demo unit so I needed to replace the jets with his silly little jet strainers. Not so. This 'Y' strainer is big enough that I have not had to unclog jets nor clean out the strainer since installed. You can go many months and not get one clog. Save money on those silly jet strainers. Just unscrew one cap from the 'Y' and clean the inserted filter. Done. No more messing around with three or four jet strainers. You can add this same Y' to your solution line right before the female quick connect and never have to worry about the jets clogging on your wand.
Be sure to buy a sheet of the 100 Micron screen mesh on eBay to add into the 'Y' for extra protection.

that thing is huge, why not a normal industry inline strainer?

If your an idiot cleaner then yes your liable to hit something. I couldnt imagine how in all the months Ive been using it.
Yes its huge.
But guess what? It works well and have not had to clean it since Being installed and not one clog. So it works fine and thats what counts.

I like those inline, flushable strainers. You should be able to blow the glop without removing the screen, by removing the cap and turning on the water.

However, if that was mine it'd be upstream of the pressure hoses.

We used the grandpa version of those on shipboard firefighting piping. Anything that got sucked into the firefighting main from the ocean could be dumped before it clogged nozzles or pumps.
