That floor was dry and I stripped it 4 times with stripper 50/50 and a black pad. Flushed it 1000psi. Whatever is left...I hope you put sealer down first. Looks like you missed several spots or put down a coat before the floor was dry.
I love spp. Works greatNot hardly an industry floor we haven’t done including cemetery, jails, prison. Someone on another board told me I suck for using spp’s![]()
I worded that first post wrong. The first pic was the before picture, not the first coat. The second pic was how it looked dry after I stripped itI tried to avoid that demon in the 17yeara I’ve been doing this and my customer insisted that I do it. I just put the first coat down after 4strips on this bathroom.
total sq footage today. 300

Do you guys use propane strip machines? We can do up to 14000 sqft in about 12 hours, if we have to move all of the furniture in and out.
25000 sqft in 12 hours if we don’t have to move anything.
vct rocks at 1.25 for 5000 sqft and under and up to 1.00 a sqft for more than 5000 sqft.
do the math on 12000 sqft at .90 done in 12 hours with 8 guys.
800 for supply’s AND about 2000 in labor.
job invoiced at $10,800
supplys. -$ 800
labor. -$ 2,000
profit. $8,000 in one night.

That’s what we do. I just wondered if you used strip machines with that much floor. We do that much and more in the summer with my 3 schools. The rest of the year I limit the size since we do churches at various times. I’m done doing floors personally. No just 2 autoscrubbers and 2 swing machines. The rest of the guys are laying stripper, corners and edgers, toilets and baseboards and flushing and rinsing.
stripping the floor is what i Focus on the most.
not really concerned on building shine. Just know I will lay either 4 or 5 coats of sealer/finish before I leave.
if they want a deeper shine we can come back in a few weeks and scrubb and recoat open areas with 3 more coats if desired (not often).
Are you having others do it. What’s your plan? This has me interested :-) What do I need to add this to my services?
Have stripped and waxed floors before obviously...long ago.
