25%? WHY? Absurd.... lets say the truck is doing an average of $5k a week. That $1250 for the lead plus $520 for the helper (40*$13) = $1770 PLUS taxes, workers comp, etc. Let's say approx $2100.
Thats $109,200 in payroll expense! That is equal to 42% if the truck ran $5k a week for 52 weeks! That's utterly absurd! Plus you have all the expenses like equipment, vehicle, gas, repairs, chemicals, marketing, office staff, credit card fees, etc. THAT IS A GOIN OUT OF BUSINESS PLAN!
STOP PAYING PEOPLE WHAT YOU WOULD WANT TO BE PAID! Start paying what will allow you to turn profit and eventually stop working all together!
This is a business NOT a charity. No wonder so many people moving from 1 truck to 3 fail! They listen to this Obama type socialistic dribble!
Crew leader gets 25% helper gets 13$ a hr.
Helper is being groomed to run 4th truck (by end of summer hopefully) and will be switched over to commission when he does. 20%
How long has it been since your guys last raise? How much was it? What is his value to your company and your quality of life? I over pay my guys because the run the truck like I did. And I can go p,at and generate money I other areas of the company. But mostly play lol
If he is allowing you to go grow your company or play (huge quality of life) he is worth keeping and keeping happy. If he's not giving you what you put into it than have that talk with him. Biggest thing is if he is a life long helper or will he run a truck? All factors in money.
I think much different than Gregg. I'm sure he's got more money but Im sure i catch more fish lol and that makes us both very wealthy men
