for those who have transitioned from one truck to two:
What was the deciding factor? Income level? Work load? Loss of jobs?
We have been so busy this year. I've raised my prices and have been hitting my highest months ever. I had to ask my wife to back off the doorhangers because I've got so much work.
What compelled you guys to take the leap into the second truck?
I do have a plan in place for spring to do this. I have my potential employee lined up and the van payment won't be a problem. I'm just trying to get myself mentally prepared for this transition.

I will try to comment on this more when I get in later tonight or tomorrow morning. But congratulations on having this decision in front of you :-)

Too many 60+ hour weeks coupled with too many missed opportunities. This year I''ve been able to balance life with business better (except the last couple months), i took off two weeks when my son was born in march and it was such a better experience than when my first son was born (2 days off then back at it). Don't look back just get r done dude!

Demand has always caused us to action. When you have to turn people away regularly its time to add a truck.
Buy new, move the current one to the overflow/backup van.

What is surprising is the work you pickup not having to say "I can't get to it".

Good luck!
