Possibly saved my clients lives this morning

Walked into my first job this morning and could smell gas right away. Mentioned it to the husband and wife but they couldn't smell it as they had been in the house and had gotten used to it. I persuaded them that the odor was pretty strong and the wife calls the gas company. The technician found a loose connection in their fireplace. Not very big but the fitting could have come off easily. If you smell gas, do something about it.

it was a $400 job in 2 hours, no tip necessary. Lots of thanks. Regular customers for the last 30 years.
