Do they really work? I've tried a few and some of them worked a little bit and others not at all.
Oddly enough my carpet repair campaigns seem to pull in the most calls.
Sometimes I wonder if the competition clicks on your pay per click ads just to spend your money up?
I know the more money you spend the better your odds are but I don't like to put all my eggs in one basket. Does anyone have any recommendation on what would work better?
I never really did much advertising because we were mostly kept busy with referrals but now I am trying to expand and need to get something going with online marketing for new customers.

My Google Adwords Campaign has worked wonders for me. One of the better features of Google is that they will help you keep the campaign relevant by calling you to tweak it regularly. They will assist you in every aspect of the campaign without any additional charge. No third party SEO necessary.

Also, if you get your Google+ and Google My Business accounts working by convincing customers to leave reviews, you will eventually be able to run without the Adwords Campaign or use it strategically.

Best advertising money I ever spent.

I've been doing it for years, sometimes I will slow it down, sometimes full steam ahead. We spend 200-350 a month on clicks(adwords).

I'm sure they try, you just have to not worry about it. Google calls them invalid clicks and won't charge you for them. That said, I'm sure it happens. Don't worry about it. It's the type of thing you need to just let run and leave it alone.

I never really did much advertising because we were mostly kept busy with referrals but now I am trying to expand and need to get something going with online marketing for new customers.

You might want to think about facebook(did you listen to will s, lots of great info on his call), it would be much cheaper than adwords. It cost 7-8 bucks to show up #1(top) around here.

Whatever ads you decide to run make SURE to only run them in your area! I see dumb shats all the time(doing ad words) with ads showing up in my area and they are from some other state!:hopeless: Kind of a waste of money showing ads in IL when you are based in Denver.......

Jerry's right on.

Adwords work as well as they are set up to work. It's a real time auction and Google will spend your money to GET CLICKS!

You have to play with it though, to find out how to BEST spend your hard earned cash.

Google is a ton of help if/when you have questions. Personally, I wouldn't spend a dime on Adwords until I felt happy about my website. There's no sense spending a fortune to drive customers to a broke down site. I haven't seen your site Kellie, so that wasn't a dig.

Yeah...Im actually working with my SEO guy to make a nice video of me using it, probably next week or right after Christmas and we are going to make it a You Tube video, and I am going to blog on it, add it to my FB and website as well. I am also going to do one on the Zipper and explain the differences between equipment etc. So I am hoping that will help!
Its good to know that Google will discredit the competitions clicks!
I am slowly but surely learning all of this and working on it one step at a time.
Thank you for the info guys!

Just use your phone if you have a newer one. Have your hubby do the filming while you work. I think Mark does all his with his phone. I also just use my phone and then you can edit and add stuff or take out stuff thru Youtube.

You can also make video's from pictures. Here is one I did a while ago from just pictures I took on my cellphone.

I do everything from my Android phones. Currently using the Note5 and really like it. My wife doesn't usually ask for an updated phone but after seeing the pics and few other features she asked for one...

Been very good for us...

I think it would help to have about about 1,000 negative key words and at first only a few positive ones, then you will have to keep a close eye on it at first . Have a good ad rank!!!

Would you mind sharing your FB strategy David? Facebook advertising has been nothing but a write off every time we've tried it

I had a holiday specials Adwords campaign and did not get one call from it. All my jobs were referrals from my regulars which seems to be consistently the best advertising for me. I am working on learning the whole FB deal, some people have great success with it while others don't.
