I actually tried to clean this rug and I rarely do carpet cleaning...I think if you clean carpets every day, your first suggestion is to throw it in the trashcan...

BTW I made this carpet 25% better with my El Diablo

Poly shag, one of the worst rugs to clean. You want to use a high pH prespray, boosted with ammonia, scrub with a 175, rinse with a garden hose, extract with an extremely hot truck mount and then just throw it away cause it's not going to get any better.

Holy crap! A 175 would throw that rug around like an evangelist handing out collection plates. CRB would be a better choice.

Correct me if I am wrong but the clean areas are from the couch with a chase on the end and a coffee table in the middle.

A 175 with a shampoo brush won't be a problem. We use a 175 on most of our rugs, even floppy rugs.

For something like that I would have to bring out the old scrubber and grind on that baby for about 30 minutes
