It looks like I'm going to the big event Feb 23-25th.. Honestly though, I have no idea what to expect. Can some people fill me in on the events and past experiences they had. The focus for me of such an event is to learn what business practices and techniques that will best suit my business.

Yeah, it's 2:30am and this cold and acid reflux have got me out of bed :(.

Thanks.

Its not required of you to buy Mike dinner or drinks no matter what he tells you.

If bawb is there, sit upwind of him. Or you may feel under the influence.

Hugging is allowed but no groping...especially of the guys.

Sleep is not mandatory, in fact it is frowned up. If you do sleep, lie about how little you got.

Drinking is however however mandatory.

There is a teddy bear available afterwards to show the authorities where you were violated. You won't have to verbalize it.

You'll love every minute of it and will feel sad when it finally ends. Good people to meet. Its a great time!

A good liver..... :)

Be ready to sweat....get a bit dirty....and have a dang good time!

Lot's of laughs, lots of great tools to play with....

Truckmounts, portables, Encap....everything a carpet cleaning nerd could dream of (you are going to fit in great :) )

Good sessions, and the after hour sessions are great too as we talk cleaning it seems 24 hours....and get ideas how to help ourselves be better....

Did I mention it is just a dang good time!

Excited to get a chance to meet in person....and also meet in person maybe people I have not had the pleasure to do so yet....

This is going to ROCK!

Seriously, it is a group of true serious carpet cleaners getting together and actually using equipment hands on out in real world cleaning for one....

Great moments with people sharing experiences (Good, bad and humorous)

The presentations from people....some of it is just invaluable, and their delivery of the material is fun, entertaining and useful!

Just even seeing, talking and getting together with these cleaners, you find out just how much we have in common and also we tend to learn from each other just being together.

I have come home every time inspired to do something different, or add a twist to my business.....and I always tend to come home with something new for equipment! (my wife hates me sometimes for all the money I spend :) )

Everything I have brought back from Mikey's Fest, has helped....it is not a super large fest....but the right size.

The cleaning at the Ronald McDonald house, the hotel...just getting to try all of this equipment and products....it is one of the best!

I actually can't wait to get together with everyone again!

I do have to say, if you have not had the chance to meet and or see these people present....you are in for a major treat.

I really believe you are going to truly enjoy this....and I look forward to meeting you in person for the first time! :)

My first fest was nashville in 2010. I learned a lot from Mr. Pemberton about new technology in upholstery cleaning and was no longer afraid of it. Second was aptos. Because I made the trip, I felt easier about asking some of the big dogs for help. Not to mention, it was also my first experience hearing other cleaners speak instead of vendors trying to sell. In Clearwater 2014, along with the great classes, I almost paid for the trip by getting a $900 wand for $200 from Bawb. In Nashville 2015, I saved a ton of money taking rug equipment off of tom Monahan's hands. The fests pay for themselves. Unfortunately, I have too many classes already set up this year. I'll be at pemberton's fabric pro in January and Ellen's rug class in March.

Whenever Winterfest or Mikeyfest has been in Northern California I have tried to go. They are the most enjoyable events, educational too.

Once got a good deal from Greenie on a Greenhorn Wand. Another time I came home with a smokin' deal on a Rotovac 360i Quad rotary jet extractor and had a Rotovac Sheardry upholstery tool thrown in to boot!

Being in the right place at the right time is awesome! :)

How have you been Martin?

This is a show for us cleaning nerds, you would love it.

No dry humping trade show tables while watching videos of tools in action.
Agree. I went to the stupid Experience in Atlanta this year, and it was nothing but getting free pins and brochures with some sample chemicals, and playing with a few tools on a piece of carpet...Then I went to Nashville at the Mikey'sFest. Saw some awesome speakers, checked out some awesome real life demos at the HOTEL rooms, not on a rug, and the next day, put all the demos to a real job at the Charity
