We haven't used it on CGD, don't do much of that. The trashed berber carpets we have tried it on were OK, but when going back over them with the wand or zipper they looked much better, same with a low pile nylon that we had to re-clean with a wand.
Maybe it has something to do with flow?
I really wish I had remembered to take a before and after of the house I cleaned yesterday...with a very low pile small loop Berber....even I thought it was mostly wear and that it wouldn't clean up well. I took my time, had the PSI at a little lower than 300 and made sure the sight tube was showing nothing more being extracted before moving on to the next section. I guarantee you I couldn't have gotten it any cleaner. I did a white towel test on it....it looked like brand new carpet.

This has been my experience time and again with the
360i. Nothing, and I mean nothing, that I know of cleans carpeting any better than rotary extraction.

whats the soil type, what rinse?
It's not very much grease...they don't cook much greasy food at all, and their kitchen floors are constantly cleaned throughout the day.
We use Flex with citrus which is a high PH and rinse with Matrix All Fiber which is a low Ph to balance. This is what we use in all of our restaurants and it does a great job. It is only since they got this new carpet that we have had any issues with it.
It really is wear from what I can tell. I am cleaning one next Monday and I will take some close up pics of the trouble areas so you can see what I mean.
I just got a pail of ZipAway that I am going try, so we will see how that goes. Do you have a recommendation as to what would be a better rinse?

Crazy with two threads going at the same time. People saying their new 10" CRB is better than Microwave popcorn and this thread with everyone piling on that the 360I--- being the best popcorn ever...

What ever happened to the 360 XL?

Zipper?

Boy am I ever confused...

It is awesome Kelly you are still on your first date with this guy---many of us are jealous---Also glad you are enjoying your new purchase.

If you will commit to RE, and work with it A LOT, you will become a force for your competition to deal with. We couldn't be making a name for such quality in the resi game without it. I can't believe that I'm still improving after hundreds of jobs with my faithful friend (360i). ZERO issues with it over the last 2+ years.

My first customer had me protect their 35 year old living room carpet this morning.

YES I GROOMED so relax MB mafia!

Plus I'm alone. RE is the GREATEST asset to a 1 man show.

I just cleaned over 2K ft.² of empty cut pile with my 360i. We've never been so profitable!

It wasn't even dirty. Would've made Chavez proud!

Each tool has its use...
The Zipper is unbelievably great on commercial carpet and most residential as well, the dry times and ease of use are amazing!
The Rotovac is amazing on residential that needs rotary cleaning due to wear, heavy soiling that needs agitation, and restoring the fibers to their natural position. I just got the carpet brush head today and will be using it on Monday at one of our restaurants to dig into the traffic lanes. It also is very easy on the operator!
As for the CRB...Great as a pre-agitator for both carpet and tile /grout.
There is no one size fits all tool......They are all great and I am so happy to have them in my arsenal.

Russ rooms like that one really make me glad I have the 360XL, That was my one complaint with the 360i, when it came to a large room I felt like I was at it forever. Make the step up, you won't be sorry you did.

I think you're right Justin. That particular room was @ 650 ft.². When I saw it I was planning on wanding it. The Zipper would have been ideal but I don't have one yet.

I've been good this year, at not spending piles of $ on equipment.

The way I see it and the way I operate, I think the Zipper and CRB have to be bought together.

Most of the CGD I "clean" with a Cimex.

I'd probably jump on the right deal for an XL right now. I've gotten really good and pretty fast with the 360i. I've got too much momentum going to change directions!

My outfit has the Zipper, 360i, HOSS 700 and the CRB - we CRB every time, not matter what. Some say it’s over kill, but my techs say it is a must.

The Zipper is a beautiful, premium quality, amazing tool. Same with the RV, I cannot live without it. If you are pre vacuuming you won't have to worry so much about hair buildup etc. I have never experienced any chatter with either glide myself.
The dry times with it are amazing.....utterly amazing! It definitely saves my back, and operator fatigue in general is unbelievably minimal.
I use it on all my commercial, and I use it in the wide open residential that does not really need pre-agitation. Because I don't have a CRB and cannot lift the 175 anymore I use the RV on the residential that needs that extra work. And I will use the RV with carpet brush on those restaurants that really need to be agitated.
Yes, the Zipper will go through more water and fill up your recovery tank more. But it is worth it because it really flushes and dries the carpet so well.
The weight is not too heavy for this chick with a bad back...anyone could use it!
Just get one dammit! You won't regret it! Between the Zipper and the RV my van has much more room in it now, and I can handle any job you throw at me!

Do you ever make it down to Northern Utah @Charlie Lyman ? I have one of those brush heads I will let you borrow to see if you like it before you spend the money.
I won't be down that way till next spring.
Do you like it? I just picked up a greasy night club that I think it would be good on.
What do you think of it on residential?

I have only used it on commercial, I honestly have not used it enough to really say if I like it or not. I need to start using it more, I have never used it on residential because I have been afraid of wrecking the carpet.
