They're called fuse taps. You might have to by ten on amazon, but they'll be cheaper than one at the auto supply.

Yeah, the ones on Amazon have the added part on top. The fuse box cover fits down very close to the top of the fuse.

So... You don't need to use a current fuse position to add a circuit, you have a hot open socket to use? And you don't want a fuse, just a bridge/wire extension? That I can't readily find. Might be worth a call to a car stereo shop.

maybe there isn't an open slot and he is piggy backing a current circuit but doesn't want to splice in for the new.........

Yeah, I figured that out, which why I was trying to delete the smartass comment/link, which is why I changed it to "Can't seem to get rid of this."

Of course I just went back to that post and easily got rid of it, so maybe that was not my finest 5 minutes.

Why not strip a wire a quarter inch and insert it with the fuse. That's what I've done before.

It's not really possible with micro fuses, they fit real tight. I'm getting by with the stripped wire wrapped around one side of the fuse and then inserted. It's not a long term solution.
