I went to there house (multi million on lake michigan) large basement,three flights stairs, mbr etc.
get a call today she tells me she got another est. and it's $380.00 less (this was a referral) well she
didn't cancel yet but i'm waiting for the call....

Oh yea she said they must be doing something right they have been in business since 1935 I said how is this guy?

ask her to ask them to see industry credentials, and when the last time ANY of them had any "outside" training was, grandfathered doesn't always count as good training.

There is always going to be a "lower" price.
Tell her what you do for the money she is going to pay you, and have her compare apples to apples.

Or you might say, it seems price is more important to you than the quality of work you receive, so if its price you are shopping for than please chose the lower bid, but if you prefer top quality service & a company that stands behind their work I'd would be more than happy to complete this project for you, rest assured we treat your home as if we lived here also, and we realize that every time you look down at your carpets you think of whom cleaned it and we will be proud to say we did!
