Can you mail merge it with the customer's first name? My testing shows a slightly better result when we put in the custy's first name.

That's a great post card, How can it really bite him in the ass. He is smart for not discounting his primary service (carpet cleaning).

Its also smart to give them something of value free(Teflon). Next time his client calls with out the free Teflon offer, guess what its pre sold! "we can apply the Teflon protector we applied for you last time Mrs Jones for X amount of dollars"
That's how I made my job average go from $88 to over $250 in less than 3 years.

The best part is it should drum up business during the slower season and not effect his job average, especially if they want to take advantage of the free Teflon on the furniture, they have to pay to have it cleaned first.

The bottom line is to make the phones RING! Many people call from postcards in my business and forget to redeem them any way, and they don't even care.

I agree Mikey. Protector is cheap and the customer appreciates the offer.

I think you could probably get away without doing specials though. From one of your other posts I read, it sounds like you haven't really been mailing your customer base very often.

Getting on a monthly program works great. Just having a nice postcard that gets your name in front of them often seems to do the trick. It gets cleaning to the front of their mind. Helps them along to make the call. Better yet, it makes it easier to remember you when someone they know mentions cleaning.

With the quality of your cards, they'll get read even without an offer IMO.

Results are in.

1% return with a $350 job average.

$6500 or so on a $700 campaign.

Better then nothing but not what I hoped for.

Well....not a bad gross return.

Spend one...make eight.

And that is during a tough time of the year.

yeah that's not a bad return at all. That number will only improve as you send out more mailers.
