Is that a concrete floor? Almost looks like a particle board subfloor.

If you have a HEPA vacuum I'd go over it with the vacuum first the rinse with your wand. We prefer the one with a brush head but if a glide will work without too much damage I'd use it.

Fast easy, use an airmover as you clean and it will be nearly dry by the time you finish. Although you mentioned big gobs of crap, you might need a 175 and pad to bust that up. Add in for the extra time if that is the case.

Charge? Keep track of hourly but then break it up to sq/ft at a price that you are comfortable with. You won't have much in the way of chems so it should be less than carpet cleaning.

Hey Sam,

Can't tell for sure what kind of floor surface you are cleaning, but I would use stiff floor broom, vac if possible, maybe even a shop vac (gonna go through a lot of filter bags), then sweep like crazy with a good stiff floor broom

Spray down a prespray and use the same stiff broom to help break the surface tension with that prespray.....

I like a hard surface wand with a brush as well.

Rinse and scrub. This one in the pics we just did this week we did at 800 psi because it was concrete, but you might rinse other surfaces with less psi. You will be able to tell by the amount of moisture you are loosing out the wand that could be more than needed loss.....

Also, you are going to go through filter bags....we use throw away paint strainer bags (5 gallon)

Not sure your going rate, but we charged .50 cents per square foot on this weeks, but looking at yours....It is going to be a lot more work!

Best wishes on the adventure, but you can get it done and make some money!

I'm getting the 5 gallon filter bags (that I make as throw away daily) from http://www.painterdeal.com/filter.html

Get item SB-501...the other numbers are for the amount wanted....you can also get 5 gallon paint strainers from home depot, but they are 3 times the price in reality. The ones on the right are the Painterdeal units. Much larger!

Vacuuming is key, any stripper/degreaser will do. We would scrub it first because globs come off easier then either shop vac up or turbo.

Pretty easy job...

That thing was going to be a lot of work!

I would have been $1824 plus tax for that job I am guessing with that square footage.

Bet they are going to think your price wasn't too bad if they try to do it themselves....

When I had my house built I went in sealed up the HVAC vents. I've seen too many lazy subs just sweep debris into the vents.

Contractors are cheap, everything they don't spend, is money kept in their pocket.

Seen that too.

I clean some buildings that every time we take a swipe along the baseboards with the wand, all kinds of construction debris still comes out! :eekk:

All that dirt and debris left behind, and we wonder why people feel unhealthy in buildings sometimes.....
