Hanging out with the guys from Westpac all weekend I got to go into depth on their mini ball valves and this brass did he hear is proven the last a full season in Florida mounted to the front of the machine so put it on the end of the hose and you should be able to get quite a few years out of it especially after I lock tight the extra long screw for the handle.

I'm also now carrying these on site pressure hose repair kits which according to most never need to be replaced as they hold that tight..

All this stuff cost peanuts and will be up on my site soon

Are you able to adjust the seat aroud the ball? Not if, but when it starts leaking? Thats the problem with the wanders valve handle stays on un like the cheapo chrome valve but when it starts leaking there is no adjustment . The cheapo chrome valve isn't worth a damn but if it starts leaking you can remove it and with an allen wrench you can adjust the seat around the ball. Too bad that valve seldom lasts long enough to need to be adjusted but if it did you could can you adjust this one? If so ill order 6 or 7 to try. Im using wanders valves now but im tired of throwing away a perfectly good valve simply because there's no adjustment to stop it from leaking and the pressure builds up high enough to make it difficult to break connection at the quick connects

Gator crimps
Did you buy them from Joe?
I did, for the past 30+ years ive used parker version with only 1 problem, the insert ( i can purchase separately) would eventually corrode away i bought 10 of the gator grips and have had no less than 5 in the past 3 years blow off the hose so far. Now if i hadn't installed hundreds of these in the past with not a single one blowing off you could chuak it up to improper installation but i think cheap Chinese built product with poor tolerances and or quality control. I say that because ive taken the very same gatter grip that blu off a wanders crappy buck a foot hose, install it on Goodyear neptune 3000 hose and had it blow off it too

I’ve never installed them with the intention of using the any longer than it takes me to get new hose in
All my hoses use those type ends. Closest place to have an end installed for me is a 2½ hour drive (one way) so for over 3 decades now have been building my own ¼&⅜ hoses using parker reusable ends. When i bought um in lots of 25 they cost about the same as having my supplier squeeze one on. And a added benefit was when the parkers started leaking most of the time i could carefully unscrew the old stem and just screw a new one in after using um so long i didn't have to buy the entire unit t could just buy the stem im also able to purchase the female jic non-working swivel insert also

Mine are made by Westpak, who say they are a permanent fix
Are they stainless? Can you get female sae or jic non working swivel? (Probably not) Being a permanent fix is what i loved about parkers . What i didn't care for was the outer shell nut size is large and doesn't fit in a bend resitictor very well they had a smaller nut size( special order) for a while . I still have a few and use exclusively where bend restrictors are used when i found the gater grips i had high hopes for them. they have smaller nuts and the centers don't corrode away but ended up going back to the parkers. Let me know when the valves and ends come in. Ill give um a try i like the size of the outer shell hopefully the westpac units are a higher quality compared to the gater grips . Like ive said , ive been using these type ends for most my business life and been satisfied with the performance till reasonably. Although 1 good thing came from gater grips and that was i was so dissatisfied that i re hosed frankinstien's ¼100r hose with ⅜ stainless braided teflon hoses with ½ female jic stainless ends and my 50+ psi pressure drop across the bypass regulator disappeared !

I'll send you one of each to play with I'll also send you some of my spiral wrap been protector which is way better than the vinyl sleeves as it allows the hose to cool down much quicker

I think I'm going to buy a bunch of ball valves and plastic covered female disconnects and include one or the other with full price glide purchases

I used to pay Greenies aunt three to four dollars a piece to pretty up the glides after they came out of the CNC but now that its the original fabricator son who is making them, there is no longer that need as his equipment and technique is less sloppy..

I think that's a little more impressive and valuable than candy or promotional items as a way to say thank you, what do you think?

Thanks, ill try it although im pretty set on these bend restrictors ive got a bunch that have reused many times and are decades old now. They're expensive, about 6.00 each but last for years . they were once common but now there hard to find
