He is improving his air flow and performance, not selling the idea or truck mount to anyone. I'm not sure what TM he has, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to increase performance, and not plan on entering any beauty contest.

What I see:

An older White magic tank.
a 2.5" welded coupling with a 2 3/4" ID and about a 3" OD.
A section of 2.5" vac hose with a 3" OD
a section of 3" marine exhaust hose, cut and joining the 2.5 hose to the the coupling, basically 3" to 3", a littel black duct tape to seal, and some industrial clamps.

I'll bet it feeds over to a filterbox, and then the wand feeds that.

This part could pretty that up and make a clean installation:
