I have a Prochem Cheyenne porty I bought new 18-20 years ago.
It's been up in the barn loft for 15 years .
I want to rebuild it for use in an upcoming project

it was originally 100psi pump and twin 2 stage vacs

can I use these vac motors?

http://www.centralvacuumonline.com/motors/115334.html?gclid=CNP73_rw67UCFe9aMgodrQYACA

I figure to replace the 100psi pump w/200psi
do 200 psi pumps come in the same/similar config as 100psi Flojets??...cause i don't want to do a lot of retrofitting of parts .
I want everything to pretty much drop in with minimal fabricating/mounting needs

Is it 1 cord or 2? You could switch the pump to a 200psi on-demand Mytee pump... I think it's a surflo pump with a Mytee badge on it... For the vacuums the Cheyenne I had was 2 3stage vacs in series (sucking the exhaust or the other).. I dunno how it is on the 2-2stages, most likely the same...

I stripped down the Cheyenne I had cuz it had a crack in the fresh water tank by the front wheel... It was part of some equipment we bought...

Thanks Nate!
Name plate on it is Hydro-Force I see ...but it's the same.
this is it;

http://www.jccarpet.com/prochem/cheyenne.htm

it's was a two cord unit originally ..one for vacs/pump and one for heat..which is long since dEd and gone.
So i can wire a new cord and rocker switch where the heater cord and switch was .
Vacs are in series on mine too (if sucking the exhaust is "series") ..and I'm 99.2483% sure they're 2-stage
They still suk

Need a new pump for sure
But don't want anymore than 200-250 psi pump

I'll see if i can get Willy's attention ..... (he must be too busy counting his money)

Dual 3 stages, 7.2's. I prefer in parallel, but series will work too.50 foot vac hose runs, but I use 35 most of the time. I really like the new Cat pump, that'll give you up to 600 PSI or you can get a pumptec. Get the blue 205 pumptec is the number I think. Get an AW29 , rejet it with 1101.5's (3 flow) and put this 15 feet downline. http://www.***************/kleenrite-heatrite-line-heater-carpet-cleaners-p-3476.html

Any other questions?

SHUT UP RICHARD!

PS - Pull the thermostats out of the Heatrite (2 sets 190, 2 sets 210 and put in four 220 degree thermostats. Selco are the longest lasting and at 5 to 10 bucks from a hot water control place. Here's where I get mine from. In Canuckistan they run $8 each.

PPS - Lose the internal heater. It cooks the other components up.

Larry how broke are you? Is this what the younger generation of cleaners get to look forward to?

Willy, I'm not spending $700 bukz on a porty pump.
I don't need more than 200 psi .
I'd rather put the money in hi-perf vacs
gimmie some part #s for vacs

Larry, your gonna spend a couple hundy on a shit pump, spend a bit more and get some performance.

you'll have to convince me it's worth three times as much for a porty that might get used once pr month...and 90% of that time will be doing upl

Larry;

That vac motor is an antique model.

It only has 384 AirWatts.

A modern design with tapered fans that fits in the same dimensions has 673 AirWatts,

and uses less amps.

Your machine is designed for 5.7" vac motors,

but may only have a single cord

A high-pressure pump is also a large quality improvement.

The one you looked at @ Dultmeier only has 1.1 GPM,

where our current model delivers 1.6 GPM.

A good drop-in pump replacement is this 220 PSI one:

Willy, as you can see, i don't think going parallel would be an "easy" fit .
