I had that happen when I was trying to push a 1.5 inch hose cuff into the tube, it fits but barely and will over time crack out the tube. Once I realized that a 2 inch hose cuff would fit over the tube perfectly it hasn't happened since.

Marty, they all end up like that. You might want to source a piece of clear tube like that from a different -non carpet cleaning industry-source. The interlink type clear 2" tube will look the same way in no time.
I don't care how it looks. Mine shattered into pieces today!

The tube on my 360i is still in tact, using it hundreds of times.

The one on my XL is cracking pretty good after just a couple months use.

They must have gotten a bad batch of tubing.

They put the handle adjustment wheel things in the wrong spot on the XL too.

It feels like a work in progress.

That handle assembly...

I've have my sight tube crack also.... but never shattered..... I just cut off the piece to make it even.... I think it cracked again but I still use it.....

@GeneMiller uses pyrex glass I believe..... Marty shouldn't try that..... First the Cimex, then this..........Who wants to bet on what's next? :stir:

Do you mean up front and forward facing vs on the side?

That was a good move IMO.

less snagging of cord and curtains.

Yeah, those 2 little knobs that tighten when you raise/lower the handle.

I didn't even think of them snagging the cord or curtains. It wasn't a problem with the 360i for me.

Now they are jammed in tight with the cord to the motor and the sight tube.

Sure, it works but it's now a "wear" area. I bet that cord will need replacing unless we are very careful when we tighten those knobs.

How are you guys saving so much room? Are you jamming it under a shelf or something? I see how collapsing it saves vertical space but if you dont have something stacking above it what are u saving?
