Perfect, theres not a problem getting the 68a. Its the earlier model thats the problem. I believe the last guy i was talking to had a 1999 mzchine and if i remember he had a obsolete inpower model 53 and are a bastard they don't interchange with anything. 68a is still in production and you can get a new on on ebay for as low as 160.00

Your bud has a 1999 CDS eh, that's encouraging. I wonder if I really take care of this setup... will 1 engine swap and 1 transmission swap down the road get me to 15,000 hours on my CDS. That'd be sweet.

I'll start heat proofing all my engine electronics and plan some proper maintenance later this spring.

I personally own a pto that's a 2000 with just over 200k and 10, 301 hours and still runs great. It's my backup when i got it it was dubbed unreliable by the company I bought it from. The thing that the steamgenis have up on all the other ptos is remote/stand alone stainless wastetank. Which gives them an advantage over others when it comes to longevity

Changing out the wastetank on your machine is far more difficult than mine. I pulled out and reinstalled the wastetank on frankinstien to change a blown vacuum hose to the salsa unit it took less than 2 hours from start to finish. 4 bolts, 3 wire connectors and a vacuum hose and it slid right out. My wastetank was removed to service equipment behind it because yours is made of aluminum, sooner or later will have to be removed to replace
