Hey everybody, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted on Mikey’s Board. This is taking me back. I have sold my business and have been working at Aero Tech for a year and a half now.

The distribution for the new slide in units is underway. We are working with independent distributors and want to have one distributor per area.

Keep in mind that Aero Tech is an employee owned company that has been selling direct to customers for over twenty years. We want to find independent distributors that have the same direct relationship with their customers.

If you’re interested in purchasing one right now feel free to contact me and I’ll check on distribution for your area. If your area doesn’t have a distributor yet we can do the installation at our facility.

The R56 LLIQUID is our premier slide in unit and is in stock and available. The R45 AIR is still in development and should be available later this year.

Cheers!!!

Performance wise what do you compare this 56 unit to in regards to what's already out there?

That PSI engine is what caught my attention

Psi caused some uproar when they abandoned the 1.6l gm motor in the 875, thermalwave 2vortec, and even a steamaction. It’s bad business to leave the purchasers of these machines in the dark after they invest that much money into the machine that feeds their family

Access to the timing belt and access to the right side of the machine brings concern

PSI is a huge company supplying all sorts of industrial applications. Very reliable motors. EFI is the focal point. 50 states.

I already told him not to sell you one..
I'm not a franchise that has 50 other vans like chemdry. I know how and why chemdry was the company that tested that unit, so it was virtually no risk to them anyway.

I re-engineered my thermalwave 2 vortec and I'm tolerating my everest currently. By the way, I'm still fixing jondon's FK UP now with their destructive service department's mess on my timing belt/water pump that gave me a steady drip in antifreeze for 1700hrs until it was gushing out again recently . The main reason I asked this dude about it, which he currently refuses to answer.

I'm not an idiot, I'm a owner operator who's tired of buying crap that breaks for no reason with very little to no support

Mr. Wood,

I honestly don’t know anything about the PSI Legand brand story. I have been an owner operator (just like everyone here) for the past 25 years.

What exactly is your problem? What machines have you had with PSI motors?

I don’t know your story if you could please catch me up?

I have always been a fan of Aero Tech quality and service and I want all the products Aero Tech is involved with to follow that same standard. I’m here to listen.

This motor in the thermalwave 1.6gm that psi produced caused blueline and Hydramaster to discontinue them.

Parts were and are very hard to get and some are no longer available

But as for maintenance, I’ve asked several times about the timing belt and access to it. Because it looks like it would be very hard to access unless it’s a timing chain. My latest headache with my timing belt on my Hyundai Everest tells me to be aware of those types of engines.

There’s more to it than just changing oil and belts. Other components wear out over time and access to the other major components is needed. Another reason. Asked about the right side being covered up, unless it’s very easy to pull off the objects in the way

I will ask about the timing belt history of this particular engine and it’s serviceability. I can answer to the heat shields that you have observed. They are there for what is being coined “ CHDS (Cabin Heat Discharge System) — a revolutionary heat management system that improves operator comfort and helps protect sensitive components.” The shielding you see is channeling the fan air flow (with plastic ducting directing the flow from the fan ) to the engine heat shielding that you can see. All of the exhaust (blower, engine and fan directed cold air is exhausted behind the the truck mount on the driver side and elbows away from the fuel tank area. The kohler rep that was testing the temperatures of the air cooled systems that we are developing had to visit the testing facility two times to verify that a concealed unit was really producing such low temperature readings. That Kohler rep now works for Aero Tech as our outside sales manager and will be driving the demo van across the country hopefully to a town near you.

Also the diverter valve system for these units have been knocked out of the park. I personally have been involved with the evolution of this system over the past year and a half. It is awesome I will have to share pictures. All heating sources are turned off when the temperature reaches its set point. The exhaust from the blower and engine are completely diverted (just like the XT and DDS) plus the coolant exchanger’s hot coolant flow is haulted. No matter if you are chatting with Misses Jones for 45 minutes between a few upholstery cleaning strokes or dual wanding full trigger the system will always be fighting to maintain temperature.

The water pressure also only circulates the cold water . It doesn’t circulate the hot water through a water box and dump to the recovery tank. Both the Liquid cooled systems and air cooled systems are designed this way.

Everyone involved on this project has a lot of faith in the research and testing of the PSI. I will have to share all the hours of straight months of testing these units have been put through, the temperature conditions, and monitoring systems and procedures. They hired temp employees to sit and play video games and monitor the the system and report the readings every 30 minutes and insure the units never shut down 24/7 for months while running vacuum loads and water pressure on and off mimicking of wand cleaning. The temperature probe’s were being monitored all over the place. It was some really cool impressive testing .

The secondary bearing housing to insure the engine shaft doesn’t experience any side load is brilliantly over built.

All service fluids have been located in the same area for ease of maintenance. The digital display also tracks, monitors and alerts all service intervals and will make you have to push the overide to continue. The computer will save all its memory even if the system loses power from the battery. If there are any updates Aero Tech can email the updates and you can download it on a flash drive and upload it to the system within minutes your software can be updated .

Plus it’s really good looking like Mike. Who wants to be like Mike?
