When you give advice based on speculation rather than first hand experience?

I’d call it advice..... to decide whether it’s good advice or bad advice is the responsibility of the receiving party.

Sounds like a lot of people feel as though somebody who gives advice without personal experience is some sort of jackass. In my view the person who spurns the advice they themselves requested is the real jackass.

I do however think that it’s good protocol to disclose your experience and/or reasons when offering your advice others.
