When a day off, is not a day off...

I was supposed to have the day off today. Well, it turned out that we needed to run some rugs.... we cleaned 9 today, and one in particular caught my attention...
The owner told me she bought it in Bangalore....
She had a translator haggle for her. I’m assuming with the knot count, it still costed her a pretty penny...
Some days, I love rugs, some I hate them...
Today was the former...
This was a silk rug, quite beautiful.

I like the newer light colored ones, but those older style look like grandma's rugs.

The hand on this silk rug was amazing... If I had a lot of disposable money, I’d buy a quality rug in a heartbeat...

BTW, these photos were both taken on the backside of the rug...

I really enjoy the days I get to just focus on rugs. Especially after taking Cam Mayville and Paul Lucas rug washing class back in September.
