Nice to have in the van (just for those times)

Every once in a while i have to move a bed or something that has fragile center legs this is what i use to lift it high enough to not bend or snap off the center legs i have 2 sizes these are the smaller ones. (The larger ones are under a church pew i had to move yesterday they fit the harbor freight large furniture sliders) I cut um out of horse trailer mats. Ive tried different things like small pieces of 2x4 but these seem to work best even if the bed has wheels i can turn the wheels in a way that these still work great. Just thought I'd share the idea

I've done that too, for me, this works better than stacking sliders , they don't slide off, and i get the horse trailer mate for free, one of my supplier's uses it as flooring in vans when he does installs i cut these out of scraps

Cool lookin furniture jack Where'd you get it?the one i have is a leaver has the wheels and a long handle , it works alright but you can't use it in tight spaces

I don't like it in a van i think there's too much movement eventually the floor breaks where things are bolted through like hose reels machines etc. Im a plywood and carpet kinda guy

I still use lift buddies too, but the “helping hand” Jack is for the furniture that is so heavy it bends the lift buddy.

The lift buddy is more useful for most furniture but it’s good to have two jacks on hand for heavy crap.

Thank you, I got the idea from Steamgeni. They did it to all the vans when they did installs.as it turns out a standard size van takes (2) 10' sheets of of 5/8 plywood but the extended vans like frankinstien take longer. When i put the floor in this van i had my friend Rick, at The Sign Shop graft a piece on each sheet in order to be seamless. I used the mat that was in the van as a rough template, (my other vans i used the wood from the original floor as the template) i cut the floor out, fitted it then layed the carpet upside down in my shop glued the s$## out of the plywood layed it on the back side of th carpet so as the floor was upside down then stretched the carpet over and around and stapled it to the back with 9/16 monel staples,(monel is like super stainless) 2 of us while the glue was still wet folded the floor over,slid it in place folded it out and ran a 75lb linoleum roller over it to set the glue and presto solid hard floor for mounting equipment. The big trick was every time i went to drill a hole to bolt something down. I heated a bolt with a torch and melted the carpet in the place where the hole was to be drilled as to not have any runs in the carpet , this van i took into consideration cleaning, so everything bolted down is squared off and space is allowed so as to easily maneuver a vacuum attachment stair tool and or upholstery tool to keep it clean

Home depot has a good selection. Larger is better.
